Make-Do Studios is a resource for those with an interest in contemporary mainland Chinese fiction. Despite the success of certain Chinese novels in translation, many authors, genres, and styles of writing, remain neglected by Anglophone publishers.
Through the site we offer interested visitors the chance to encounter writers who are often acclaimed in China but regarded elsewhere as too "difficult" to translate. We feature fiction of a variety of genres, and work by emerging young writers.
